BMW Brilliance Battery Center was completed in October with an annual output of 33,000 units

As early as 2011, BMW Brilliance had already begun research and development of new energy vehicles and established a high-voltage power battery laboratory. Recently, China Netcom learned from the BMW Brilliance official that BMW Brilliance Shenyang Power Battery Center will be officially opened on October 24th. Its completion will further expand BMW Brilliance’s competitive advantage in the new energy field. At this stage, BMW Brilliance selected local battery company Ningde Times as its battery supplier. After Shenyang High Voltage Battery Center is put into operation, BMW Brilliance will become the first luxury car manufacturer to establish a high voltage battery production line in China.

According to the information released by the Shenyang Environmental Protection Agency, BMW Brilliance’s power battery assembly plant will build a new plant in the existing production area of ​​the engine plant of BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd. to increase equipment and provide supporting power for the production of new energy vehicles. All projects occupy an area of ​​6,480 square meters, with a total investment of RMB 32,413,300, and are put into production mainly for the production of G38 (ie, a new generation of BMW 5 Series) high-energy battery packs with an annual production capacity of 33,000 sets.

Among them, the production of high-energy battery packs will consist of battery modules consisting of batteries, battery connection systems (ZKS), press plates, tension plates, insulation foils, double-sided adhesive tapes, and heat-conducting plates, all of which are required for production. It will be produced simultaneously at the BMW Brilliance High Voltage Battery Center.

The 530Le will be built on the basis of the CLAR platform for the entire new generation of the 5 Series. The overall appearance is basically the same as that of the regular gasoline version. The new car is expected to be officially launched in the first half of next year.

In appearance, the new car adopts a family-style double kidney grille and an eye-opening headlight group seamless design to make the vehicle more visual effects, but the headlights are still equipped with a highly recognized angel eyes, and Use LED light sources internally. A long-shaped fog lamp at the bottom of the front face of the new car replaced the cash fog lamp. In addition, the new generation of 530Le is different from the current model is that the charging port at the left rear wing board is moved to the front of the body.

In the power section, the new generation 530Le will carry a 2.0T engine and an electric motor, of which the 2.0T engine has a maximum power of 138 kilowatts and a maximum speed of 225 kilometers per hour. It is worth mentioning that the new car's fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is only 2.0 liters.
