A resident lost control of her vehicle and crashed through the garage door, ending up inside the structure. The collision caused a chemical container to fall from a shelf, mixing with fertilizer on the floor and triggering an unpredictable reaction.
First responders arrived quickly and found the scene in a dangerous condition. Several police officers and the driver were exposed to harmful vapors. One officer was taken to the hospital as a precaution, while others signed medical releases on-site. The area was immediately sealed off, and hazmat teams were called in to assess and neutralize the spill.
The garage was a complex environment due to its sloped driveway and below-ground level. Firefighters worked carefully to ensure safety, using protective gear and following strict protocols. Duct tape was applied to seal their turnout coats before entering the contaminated zone. A backup team stood by with a hose in case of emergencies.
