Mine gas emission and gas level

When the layer of coal mining, coal mining or impact damage, the coal gas is stored in the body portion will leave influx coal mining space, a phenomenon known as gas emission. Mine gas emission forms can be divided into ordinary gushing and special gushing.

The mine gas emission quantity refers to the quantity of gas that normally flows into the mining space during the mining process. There are two ways to express the gas emission quantity: the absolute gas emission quantity—the amount of gas poured into the mining space per unit time, the unit is m3 /min; Relative gas emission - the amount of gas released per unit mass of coal, in m3/t.

The factors affecting the mine gas emission are mainly coal seam gas content, mining scale, mining procedures, coal mining methods and roof management methods, production processes, changes in ground atmospheric pressure, ventilation methods and management methods of goafs.

The Coal Mine Safety Regulations stipulate that as long as there is a coal (rock) layer in a mine, gas is discovered, and the mine is a gas mine. Gas mines must be managed in accordance with mine gas levels.

According to the mine's relative gas emission, the mine's absolute gas emission and gas emission, it is divided into: low gas mine, high gas mine and coal (rock) and gas (carbon dioxide) prominent mine.

High gas mine: the relative gas emission of the mine is greater than 10m3/t or the absolute gas emission of the mine is greater than 40m3/min;

Low gas mine: the relative gas emission of the mine is less than or equal to 10m3/t and the absolute gas emission of the mine is less than or equal to 40m3/min;

Coal (rock) and gas (carbon dioxide) prominent mines: In the mining process, as long as coal (rock) and gas (carbon dioxide) protrusions occur once, the mine is designated as coal (rock) and gas (carbon dioxide) prominent mine.

The "Safety Regulations for Coal Mines" stipulates that the gas level and carbon dioxide emission quantity must be identified for the mine every year.
