How to control the density of suspension in heavy medium coal preparation

Heavy medium is selected from coal, directly affects the density of the suspension density of the actual sorting. In order to improve the process effect of the sorting process, the fluctuation of the actual sorting density is as small as possible. It is generally required that the suspension entering the sorting machine has a density fluctuation of less than ±0.1 g/cm3. The density of the suspension is determined according to the requirements for the ash index of the clean coal. However, due to the influence of fluid movement in the sorting machine, the density of the suspension is different from the actual sorting density. For the lump coal heavy medium sorting machine with rising medium flow, the suspension density is generally lower than the actual sorting density by 0.03~ 0.1 g/cm3. If a heavy medium cyclone is used, the suspension density is 0.2 to 0.4 g/cm3 lower than the actual sorting density. In daily production, there are two methods for checking the density of the suspension. One is manual inspection, which is measured by the concentration pot. The other method is automatic detection by the instrument. The signals obtained by these devices are converted by electronic instruments. The electrical signal is transmitted to the actuator, and the density of the suspension is maintained in a stable state by adding water or supplementing the weight.
