5:30 PM – Saturday, April 23, 2011: Firefighters in Berwyn are currently dealing with a severe 2-11 alarm fire at a three-story apartment building located at 28th and Ridgeland. The blaze has been burning for about an hour and has now spread to the roof. Due to the intensity of the fire, all companies have been ordered out of the building, and the operation has shifted to a defensive strategy. Firefighters are seen using multiple ladder pipes, and heavy flames are clearly visible from the rooftop.
