TTS first four-hull TTS deck equipment delivery
Recently, Norwegian marine crane and equipment manufacturer TTS Group delivered the first four-hull TTS deck equipment to Shanghai Shipyard for the new ship ordered by COSCO Shipping Group.
In April 2015, Shanghai Shipyard placed orders for various TTS deck equipment for four 28,000 DWT multi-purpose heavy lift vessels. These vessels are part of the COSCO Shipping Group's fleet expansion plan. The group currently has eight vessels. This type of engineering vessel is put into operation with a maximum lifting capacity of 700 tons. It is the largest crane of the company's fleet and is manufactured by TTS.
It is reported that the delivery of the first batch of new ship deck equipment, each ship will be equipped with two TTS NMF DK II heavy lifting cranes and one TTS NMF DK II crane. The crane contract will be executed by SCM Marine and Offshore Machinery, a joint venture between TTS and China Nanhai Marine Machinery.
In addition to cranes, TTS will also provide other deck equipment, including hatch covers, electrically driven winch systems, automated mooring winches and more.
