·Sichuan Automobile recalled 7796 Mustang cars due to ABS

According to the website of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, Sichuan Automobile Industry Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the AQSIQ according to the requirements of the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall, and decided to recall 2011 from December 10, 2014. A total of 7966 F99MT, F10MT and F12MT light buses were produced from November 1st to October 31st, 2012.

It is understood that some vehicles in this recall range have low protection capability due to ABS actuator assembly. Under extreme conditions, they may be affected by transient surge pulses of the entire vehicle circuit, causing damage to individual ABS internal components and forming a current loop. This causes the heat to accumulate continuously, causing the ABS board to ablate, posing a safety hazard. Sichuan Automobile Industry Co., Ltd. will inspect the vehicles within the scope of the recall and replace the qualified ABS actuator assemblies with free vehicles to eliminate safety hazards. The AQSIQ will organize the supervision of this recall. If vehicles outside the scope of the recall are found to have similar safety hazards, or the recall measures cannot effectively eliminate the defects, the producers will be required to recall them again or take other enforcement measures.
