The National Highway Network Plan (2013-2030) was recently approved by the State Council. The reporter learned from the Provincial Highway Bureau on the 27th that the mileage of ordinary national roads in Jiangxi Province has been increased from 3,111 kilometers to 7,600 kilometers, with an additional mileage of 4,500 kilometers.

According to the new plan, Jiangxi will achieve county- and county-level national road coverage, increasing the number of ordinary national roads from the existing 6 to 22, and forming a network of seven verticals and ten horizontal lines, with interprovincial channels increasing from 12 to 30. By then, Jiangxi will form a road network with reasonable layout, complete functions, and extensive coverage, and provide the public with ordinary, non-fee basic public transport services.
