House fire in Winfield, 11-3-15
Hey everyone,
This just came in from John Tulipano. He sent over some details about an incident that happened early in the morning on November 3rd, 2015. A fire broke out in a detached garage located at Evans and Harrison around 2:45 AM. By the time the Winfield Fire Protection District arrived, the garage was completely engulfed in flames, and it had already started spreading to two nearby split-level homes, each measuring 25 by 50 feet.
The firefighters on the scene quickly requested a box alarm to bring in more help. It took them roughly half an hour to get the situation under control using four handlines. The images below give you a better idea of how intense the situation was.

The firefighters did an amazing job containing the fire before it could cause any more damage. It’s always inspiring to see how they step up in emergencies like this. These photos really capture the intensity of the situation and the dedication of the first responders.
