Karl Klotz witnessed a house fire in Frankfort last night. Here's what he shared:

House fire in Frankfort on May 23, 2012. The Frankfort Fire Department received a box alarm for a residence at 8303 Brickstone around 11:48 p.m. Upon arrival, crews found a two-story home fully involved and the flames spreading to the structure to the west.

According to the Herald-News:

The cause of a fire that destroyed a Frankfort home early Thursday is still under investigation. Firefighters were called to the two-story house in the 8300 block of Brickstone Drive at about 11:48 p.m. Wednesday and found it engulfed in flames, according to Frankfort Fire Battalion Chief Nick Peters. The fire was brought under control within 45 minutes, but the home was a total loss. The blaze also caused exterior damage to the neighboring house and resulted in natural gas leaks in both residences, Peters said.

Karl captured several photos from the scene, showing the intensity of the fire and the damage it caused. One image shows the back corner of the burning house, while another highlights the rear view of the original structure. Additional shots reveal the extent of the damage on the western side of the property. In one photo, the gas meter continues to burn after the fire was knocked down, as firefighters wait for the gas company to arrive. These images provide a powerful visual account of the event and the challenges faced by first responders. As investigations continue, the community remains concerned about the safety and well-being of those affected.
