Berwyn apparatus updates

Just got some fresh updates on the Berwyn Fire Department’s fleet from my friends Josh Boyajian and Drew Gresik. These photos really capture the essence of what this department has been running for years. First up is the Berwyn Quint 901. This beast is a 2012 Pierce Velocity PUC with a 1500-gpm pump, 300 gallons of water, and a 100-foot aerial ladder. It's a quint that can handle just about anything thrown at it, whether it’s rescues or fires. Josh snapped this great shot of it in action. Next is Berwyn Engine Co. 902, a 1999 Pierce Saber. This one’s a workhorse with a 1250-gpm pump and a 500-gallon tank mounted on top. It’s been around for quite some time but still holds its own. Drew did an excellent job capturing its classic look. Then there’s the Berwyn Reserve Engine 911, a 1992 Seagrave model with a 1250-gpm pump and a 500-gallon tank. This reserve engine has seen its fair share of action over the years and was formerly known as E93, 903, and 902. Josh managed to get another fantastic photo of this relic of firefighting history. Lastly, we have the Berwyn Staff Car 917, a 2005 Chevy Impala. While not a fire truck, it’s still part of the department’s fleet and serves as a reliable vehicle for administrative tasks. Josh once again delivered a sharp image of this practical yet essential vehicle. These photos really highlight the dedication and tradition of the Berwyn Fire Department. It’s always fascinating to see how these vehicles evolve over time while maintaining their core purpose—keeping the community safe.
