Basic structure and advantages and disadvantages of lower diaphragm type jig

The basic structure of this type of jig is shown in the figure below.

The lower cone diaphragm jig is composed of two jigging chambers, and the movable diaphragm is located below the jigging chamber and is a movable inverted cone. The movable cone alternately reciprocates up and down to generate a rising and falling water flow in the jigging chamber.
The heavy product is intermittently discharged by the valve at the bottom of the movable cone.
Compared with the upper diaphragm jig, the advantages of the lower cone diaphragm jig are:
(1) Large size and large production capacity;
(2) Compact structure, small footprint of unit effective screen surface;
(3) It can ensure that the rising water flow is more evenly distributed throughout the sieve plate;
(4) The discharge is smooth because the heavy mineral discharge opening is placed on the bottom of the movable cone. This type of jig has many disadvantages, mainly because the agitating diaphragm installed in the lower part has to bear the weight of ore and water in the body, so the rubber diaphragm is easy to be broken, the bracket is broken, and the maintenance and repair is troublesome; in addition, the stroke cannot be adjusted too much. Large, the effect of handling coarse materials is poor. Generally only suitable for processing medium and fine grain grade materials.
