Thermal Shrinkage Power Cable Terminal Construction Requirements

1. The range of allowable ambient temperature for the heat-shrinkable power cable accessory is –40°C to +70°C.
2. The installation of heat-shrinkable power cable accessories must be completed once in a row to avoid moisture, and the heat-shrinking heads for cables up to 10KV should be made within four hours.

11. When starting to shrink the tube, the flame should approach the material slowly, move around it to ensure uniform radial shrinkage, and then slowly extend. The flame is in the direction of shrinkage to preheat the tube, which is conducive to uniform shrinkage. Following the recommended initial shrinkage location and orientation in the installation procedure, shrinking from the bottom up helps to eliminate gas and enhance sealing.
12. In order to ensure the tight bonding and bonding strength between the heat shrinkable tube and the coating material, before being inserted into each layer of the tube, the coated portion and the adhesive sealing portion should be preheated and then cleaned with a cleaning agent. Remove the flame charcoal deposits and make good contact between layers.

13. Do not cut the heat shrink tube freely.

15. It is not allowed to construct in rain and fog weather. If the cable is found to be flooded or wet, remedial measures should be taken.

17. Heat shrinkable intermediate connectors are not allowed to move the thermal power cables when not fully cooled.
