**How to Select the Right Eye Bolt?**
Use plain or shoulderless eye bolts for vertical loading only. Angle loading on shoulderless eye bolts can cause them to bend or break. Shoulder eye bolts are suitable for both vertical and angle loading.
**How to Use Stainless Steel Eye Bolts Safely?**
- Align the eye bolt with the slings.
- Use washers between the shoulder and load surface to ensure firm contact.
- Ensure the nut is properly torqued.
- Engage at least 90% of the threads when using shims or washers.
- Attach only one sling leg to each eye bolt.
- Inspect and clean the threads and hole before installation.
- Fully screw the eye bolt into place and seat it properly.
Ensure the tapped hole for a screw eye bolt has a minimum depth of one-and-a-half times the bolt diameter. Install the shoulder at right angles to the axis of the hole, ensuring full contact with the lifting surface.
