No flow after vortex flowmeter is energized, but there is signal output failure analysis

Abstract: This article mainly introduces the vortex flowmeter. When the instrument is energized after installation , there is no actual flow of the pipe, but the cause of the actual data fluctuation on the instrument display screen and the treatment method

1. After the meter is energized, the valve is not turned on and there is a signal output.

â‘ , external electromagnetic interference sensor output signal when a ground vortex flow meter or flow meter is masked;

â‘¡, surrounding the transducer with the device with a large electromechanical or electromagnetic interference high frequencies produced by the device;

â‘¢, install the pipeline with a strong vortex flowmeter vibration;

â‘£, the sensitivity of the sensor received signal is too high;

For the above faults, it is necessary to take corresponding measures to enhance the shielding and grounding of external interference, strengthen the pipeline to eliminate the pipeline vibration, and adjust the sensor to reduce the sensitivity;

2 , intermittent operation of the vortex flowmeter power supply is not broken, there is signal output after the valve is closed

This kind of fault is similar to the first one, and the cause is mainly caused by pipeline vibration or external electromagnetic interference. The treatment method is also the same as above.

3. When the instrument is powered on, the output of the upstream valve is turned off, and the output of the downstream signal is not zero.

The reason for this type of failure is mainly caused by the pulsating pressure of the upstream fluid. When the vortex flowmeter is installed on the T -shaped branch pipe, and the upstream main pipe has pressure pulsation or a power source that generates pulsating pressure, this A false signal is generated due to pressure fluctuations.

Approach:

It is necessary to install the downstream valve upstream of the vortex flowmeter. When the machine is stopped, the upstream valve can be closed to isolate the pulsation pressure, but the premise is that it must ensure a certain straight pipe distance from the instrument;

4. When the power is on, the upstream valve signal output is not zero. Only the downstream valve signal output is zero.

Such failures are caused by fluid disturbances in the pipeline. Generally, if the distance between the downstream straight sections of the vortex flowmeter is short and the outlet is close to other valves, the fluid disturbance in the pipeline will be transmitted to the vortex. A false signal is generated in the street flowmeter detecting component;

Approach:

It is necessary to lengthen the straight pipe length of the instrument to eliminate the malfunction caused by fluid disturbance.

Summary: From the above various types of faults, it can be known that due to the principle limitation of the vortex flowmeter, the distance between the straight pipe sections on the upstream and downstream of the instrument is very important for the vortex flowmeter using the Karman vortex principle, if it does not meet the requirements. Straight pipe length distance error increases, heavy instrument will not work directly
