Intelligent floor based on pressure sensing touch technology

Indoor PositioNIng System (IPS) is an important part of pervasive computing. With the popularity of smart terminals, the advent of the mobile Internet era, the demand for positioning and navigation in complex indoor environments is increasing day by day. Meanwhile, IPS has a wide range of applications in fields such as public safety and mobile e-commerce. At present, the positioning technology adopted by IPS mainly includes RFID, Bluetooth, WiFi, UWB, ZigBee, optics, ultrasound, infrared, and geomagnetic field. The indoor positioning system using a single positioning technology has certain defects, such as high affordability, poor scalability and robustness, low positioning accuracy and long response time. Therefore, a variety of positioning technology integration is a development trend of IPS.

Force Touch Touch Technology (Touch Screen Technology) zTouch from the United States F-Origin. The principle of the technique is to set multiple pressure sensors at the four corners of the rigid panel to sense the pressure perpendicular to the panel generated by the user touching or gesturing on the panel through the sensor, and locate the position according to the stress of each point sensor. The technology has the advantages of good environmental robustness, long lasting, no-load, three-dimensional information perception and high positioning accuracy, and can be applied to IPS to make up for the lack of other positioning technologies. Currently, many foreign institutions are studying positioning systems based on the technology, such as the UK's Lancaster University Weight Lab, Sheffield Hallam University and the German Aachen University Smart Floor, etc..

In this paper, a smart floor is designed based on the pressure sensing touch technology, and a small locating system is constructed by using the floor. The system uses 16 pressure sensors and 4 floors to build a positioning platform to realize the positioning and path display of the moving car on the platform and to view the car position information through the LabVIEW software and the Android terminal.

1 positioning principle

The basic unit of pressure sensing touch positioning technology consists of a rigid panel and four pressure sensors. The pressure sensors are distributed at four corners of the rigid panel to form a four-point structure. Four-point positioning model shown in Figure 1.

In the model shown in FIG. 1, Si (i = 1, 2, 3, 4) represents the ith pressure sensor. 2 system structure design

2.1 system design

According to the experimental conditions of this study, a positioning demonstration system for the car was constructed. System consists of positioning platform, positioning object (car), data acquisition card, PC, Android monitoring terminal. When the positioning object is stationary or moving on the positioning platform, the absolute position coordinate (X, Y) in the physical space is calculated by analyzing the data of the sensor, and the position attribute is mapped and reflected in the host computer position management server (LabVIEW software ) In the virtual map. The location management server can build a virtual scene and provide services of location query and navigation for the mobile terminal. Positioning system shown in Figure 2.
