GTT Company Receives Order for NO96 Low Temperature Membrane Enclosure System for 2 LNG Ships
Recently, French LNG enclosure specialist GTT received an order from Daewoo Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. to supply equipment for two LNG vessels being built by Maran Gas Maritime.
Currently, the two new vessels are being built at Daewoo Shipyard's shipyard in Geoje, South Korea, and will be equipped with GTT's NO96 low-temperature membrane containment system, which is expected to be delivered in 2019.
According to Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, Daewoo Shipbuilding has a total of 147 ships built using NO96 technology. The fleet of Maran Gas Maritime, a subsidiary of the Greek Angelicoussis Shipping Group, also has 20 vessels equipped with a membrane solution.
Up to now, 143 ships in the world have been equipped with NO96 enclosures, and 59 newbuilding orders will be equipped with this system.
