Compared with 2015, CATL's total shipments in 2016 achieved a three-fold increase, reaching 6.8GWh, ranking second in China and third in the world. According to the statistics of Zhen Li Research, in the first half of 2017, the installed capacity of CATL electric vehicle battery was 1312.4MWh, and the domestic power battery market share reached 20.98%, becoming the first in China.

CATL has the R&D and manufacturing capabilities of the entire industry chain in the field of power batteries and energy storage batteries. It has more than 1,600 patent applications and has participated in more than 40 international and domestic industry standards. In terms of fast charge, energy density, and longevity, CATL has its own unique "sword". For example, in terms of fast charging, CATL can charge for 15 minutes and last for 300 kilometers; in high energy density products, the energy density can reach up to 270Wh/kg.
