Short path evaporators are available in sizes ranging from 0.04 to 80 m² and can operate at temperatures up to 400°C.

Short path distillation is a specialized thin film distillation technology that allows for even lower working pressures, resulting in significantly reduced boiling points. This makes it ideal for heat-sensitive materials.

Unlike traditional wiped film evaporators, the condenser in a short path evaporator is located inside the main body of the unit. This design reduces the distance the vapors must travel, allowing for more efficient separation.

Operation

Feed liquid is introduced into the still under high vacuum and immediately spreads into a very thin film. The heated walls and high vacuum drive the more volatile components (distillate) toward the external condenser, while the less volatile components (residue) continue down the cylinder. The separated fractions exit through individual discharge outlets. Depending on the application, either the distillate or residue may be the desired product. Small amounts of condensable low molecular weight compounds collect in a cold trap upstream of the vacuum system. For high solvent loads, an optional external condenser can be installed downstream of the still.

After we agree on the products and price, we will send a Proforma Invoice for your confirmation. Once we receive your payment (deposit), we will prepare the goods and ship them within 5 working days. If you have your own shipping forwarder, we will use it. If not, once the goods arrive at the destination port, you must find a shipping forwarder to assist with customs clearance.
